Francisco Pines – Florida Orange Herb Chicken

The versatility of Florida Orange Juice makes my meals come alive with amazing flavor — just like this recipe, my favorite Herb Chicken. The hearty and easy-to-make meal is great for entertaining friends and family.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Florida Orange Juice
  • 1 Florida Orange, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp. paprika
  • A pinch ground pepper
  • ¼ cup of olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • ¼ tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  • 10-12 pieces of chicken

Preparation

Francisco Pines – Florida Orange Herb Chicken
Step 1:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Step 2:

Whisk together Florida Orange Juice, olive oil, garlic, sugar, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, paprika, onion powder, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper.

Step 3:

Place chicken skin side up in a rimmed 13 X 9 inch baking dish.

Step 4:

Pour mixture over chicken, turning pieces to coat all sides.

Step 5:

Arrange slices of lemon, Florida Orange and onion around and under the chicken.

Step 6:

Sprinkle thyme, rosemary, salt and pepper generously over chicken.

Step 7:

Bake uncovered for about one hour or until chicken is tender.

Step 8:

Garnish cooked chicken with remaining fresh chopped herbs.
