Florida OJ Power Balls

Ingredients

  • 600 ml Florida Orange Juice
  • 300 g large oats
  • 150 g pumpkin seeds
  • 400 g dates, pitted
  • 200 g cranberries
  • 3 g cinnamon powder
  • 0.2 g or 1 pinch salt

Instruction

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the oats on one baking sheet and the pumpkin seeds on a second individual baking sheet. Toast for 7-10 minutes until they are lightly brown in colour. Move them around after 5 minutes to help toast evenly. Let cool completely.
  3. Place the oats in a mixing bowl, add the Florida Orange Juice and cinnamon powder. This will rehydrate the oats and infuse the delicious OJ flavour.
  4. In a food processor, add dates, cranberries, and pumping seeds. Turn the processor on until all ingredients have mixed and forms a granulated paste.
  5. Add the paste to the oat mix bowl and mix well together.
  6. Scoop using a 1 oz scoop into balls and roll between your hands. Place the balls in the refrigerator to set on a baking tray.
  7. Place in a sealed container and keep in the fridge up to 3-4 weeks. Can be frozen if placed in an airtight container for 3-6 months.
