- 10 cloves
- 6 peppercorns
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 (750 ml) bottle red wine, divided
- Peel of ½ Florida orange
- ¼ cup Sugar in the Raw
- 2 ounces honey
- 4 ounces (120 ml) freshly squeezed Florida orange juice, room temperature
- Florida orange slice
- Cinnamon stick
Place cloves, peppercorns and cinnamon stick in cheesecloth bag and tie with kitchen twine. Pour ¼ bottle wine in saucepan; add cheesecloth bag, Florida orange peel and sugar. Simmer for 5 minutes; add remaining wine and honey. Simmer 3 minutes; turn off heat and add Florida orange juice. Remove cheesecloth bag and orange peel; serve warm. Garnish with cinnamon stick and Florida orange slice.
To serve cold, prepare as above and chill. Place 6 ounces of Manatee Mulled Wine in a wine glass; add ½ ounce Cointreau and stir. Add ice.
