{"id":675,"date":"2018-06-08T09:53:12","date_gmt":"2018-06-08T13:53:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/oj\/?post_type=fdoc-recipe&#038;p=675"},"modified":"2024-06-04T10:51:03","modified_gmt":"2024-06-04T14:51:03","slug":"thai-orange-beef-noodles","status":"publish","type":"fdoc-recipe","link":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/oj\/recipes\/thai-orange-beef-noodles\/","title":{"rendered":"Thai Orange Beef Noodles"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/intl-floridacitrus.pantheonsite.io\/www-floridacitrus-quebec\/\/oj\/recipes\/nouilles-thaies-au-boeuf-a-lorange\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fran\u00e7ais<\/a><\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>For Marinade:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>1 cup (240 ml) Florida orange juice<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>3 cloves garlic, chopped<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>1\/2 cup sliced fresh ginger<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>1\/2 cup soy sauce<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>1\/4 cup olive oil<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>1\/4 cup rice vinegar or white wine vinegar<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>For Beef and Noodles:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-ingredients\">\r\n<li>2 flank steaks<\/li>\r\n<li>4 cups (1L) Florida orange juice<\/li>\r\n<li>1 pound rice stick noodles<\/li>\r\n<li>Oil<\/li>\r\n<li>1 cup red onion or shallot, sliced<\/li>\r\n<li>8 cloves garlic, finely chopped<\/li>\r\n<li>3 tablespoons ginger, minced<\/li>\r\n<li>1 pound mushrooms, sliced<\/li>\r\n<li>1 pound snow peas or sugar snap peas<\/li>\r\n<li>1 bunch fresh cilantro, chopped<\/li>\r\n<li>1\/3 cup fresh mint, thinly sliced<\/li>\r\n<li>1\/4 cup soy sauce or fish sauce, or as needed<\/li>\r\n<li>1 teaspoon Thai chile or serrano chile, seeded and minced<\/li>\r\n<li>1 bunch green onions, chopped, for garnish<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preparation<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step__title\">For Marinade:<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step__text\">\r\n<div>\r\n<p>Combine all ingredients; reserve 1\/2 cup.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step__title\">For Beef and Noodles:<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step__text\">\r\n<div>\r\n<p>Pour marinade over flank steaks; cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours. Remove steaks from marinade; discard marinade. Grill steaks to medium; remove from heat and let stand. Bring orange juice to a boil in saucepan; remove from heat and add rice stick noodles. Let stand for 15 minutes; drain and reserve. In large wok over medium-high heat, add just enough oil to coat pan; add onion and cook until deep golden brown. Add garlic and ginger; saut\u00e9 for 1 minute, being careful not to burn garlic. Add mushrooms, snow peas, cilantro, mint, soy sauce and Thai chile; saut\u00e9 until vegetables are tender crisp. Add reserved noodles; toss to combine and cook just until heated through. Thinly slice flank steak against the grain.
