{"id":565,"date":"2018-06-07T12:39:25","date_gmt":"2018-06-07T16:39:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/oj\/?post_type=fdoc-recipe&#038;p=565"},"modified":"2024-06-04T11:56:43","modified_gmt":"2024-06-04T15:56:43","slug":"pan-seared-grouper-with-florida-citrus-salad","status":"publish","type":"fdoc-recipe","link":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/oj\/recipes\/pan-seared-grouper-with-florida-citrus-salad\/","title":{"rendered":"Pan Seared Grouper With Florida Citrus Salad"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-ingredients\">\r\n<li>3 cups Florida orange segments, seeded<\/li>\r\n<li>1 \u00bd cups Florida grapefruit segments, seeded<\/li>\r\n<li>\u00bc cup lime segments, seeded<\/li>\r\n<li>\u00bd cup red bell pepper, diced<\/li>\r\n<li>3 jalape\u00f1o peppers, diced<\/li>\r\n<li>1 cup red onion, diced<\/li>\r\n<li>\u00bd cup green onion, chopped<\/li>\r\n<li>Salt to taste<\/li>\r\n<li>Pepper to taste<\/li>\r\n<li>6 Florida grouper fillets, skin removed<\/li>\r\n<li>2 cups all-purpose flour<\/li>\r\n<li>2 tablespoons olive oil, plus more as needed<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preparation<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step__text\">\r\n<div>\r\n<p>1. Remove outer skin and all white pith from oranges, grapefruits and limes. Use small knife to remove segments, leaving behind any pith.<\/p>\r\n<p>2. Squeeze remaining pith for any juice. Place orange, grapefruit and lime segments in bowl along with juice.<\/p>\r\n<p>3. Add red peppers, jalape\u00f1o peppers, red onion and green onion. Season with salt and pepper to taste; chill.<\/p>\r\n<p>4. Season grouper fillets with salt and pepper. Dredge grouper in flour on both sides; shake off any excess.<\/p>\r\n<p>5. Heat large skillet over medium-high heat; add 2 tablespoons olive oil.<\/p>\r\n<p>6. When hot, add fillets to pan in single layer and cook until edges begin to brown. Use two large skillets or repeat process, if necessary.<\/p>\r\n<p>7. Turn fish over with metal spatula; cook on other side until fish is cooked through and flakes easily when tested with a fork.<\/p>\r\n<p>8. To serve, divide Florida Citrus Salad among 6 plates, placing salad in middle of plate along with some juices.
