{"id":437,"date":"2018-06-06T14:36:34","date_gmt":"2018-06-06T18:36:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/oj\/?post_type=fdoc-recipe&#038;p=437"},"modified":"2024-06-04T13:25:38","modified_gmt":"2024-06-04T17:25:38","slug":"korean-taco-with-florida-citrus-kimchi","status":"publish","type":"fdoc-recipe","link":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/oj\/recipes\/korean-taco-with-florida-citrus-kimchi\/","title":{"rendered":"Korean Taco With Florida Citrus Kimchi"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>For Marinade:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>1\/2 cup soy sauce<\/li>\r\n<li>1\/4 cup (60 ml) Florida orange juice<\/li>\r\n<li>1\/4 cup chopped green onion<\/li>\r\n<li>3 tablespoons honey<\/li>\r\n<li>1-1\/2 tablespoons rice wine<\/li>\r\n<li>1 tablespoon rice vinegar<\/li>\r\n<li>1 tablespoon minced ginger<\/li>\r\n<li>2 teaspoons minced garlic<\/li>\r\n<li>2 teaspoons sesame oil<\/li>\r\n<li>1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper<\/li>\r\n<li>2 pounds beef short ribs, boneless, thinly sliced<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>For Florida Citrus Kimchi:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-ingredients\">\r\n<li>1 cup Kimchi (Korean spicy pickled cabbage)<\/li>\r\n<li>1\/4 cup Florida orange segments<\/li>\r\n<li>2 teaspoons lime juice<\/li>\r\n<li>1\/4 teaspoon sesame oil<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>For assembly:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>6 flour tortillas<\/li>\r\n<li>2 cups shredded red cabbage<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preparation<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step__text\">\r\n<div>\r\n<p>Prepare Marinade; Combine all ingredients in a bowl; mix thoroughly to combine.<br \/>Place short ribs in a nonmetallic dish. Pour marinade over short ribs; cover and refrigerate. Marinate at least three hours or preferably overnight.<\/p>\r\n<p>Prepare Florida Citrus Kimchi; Combine all ingredients in bowl; toss to combine. Reserve.<br \/>Drain marinade from short ribs; discard marinade. Grill short rib slices over medium-high heat for 1 to 2 minutes per side. Remove cooked slices from grill; place on cutting board. Slice short rib slices crossways into small, bite-sized pieces of meat.<\/p>\r\n<p>To assemble tacos, heat tortillas over medium heat on the grill or in a saut\u00e9 pan. Place a small amount of shredded cabbage in the center of each tortilla; top with 1\/4 cup short rib meat and 2 tablespoons Florida Citrus Kimchi.
