{"id":254,"date":"2018-06-05T16:12:30","date_gmt":"2018-06-05T20:12:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/oj\/?post_type=fdoc-recipe&#038;p=254"},"modified":"2024-06-04T15:25:49","modified_gmt":"2024-06-04T19:25:49","slug":"florida-orange-crepes-with-fruit-filling","status":"publish","type":"fdoc-recipe","link":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/oj\/recipes\/florida-orange-crepes-with-fruit-filling\/","title":{"rendered":"Florida Orange Crepes With Fruit Filling"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>For Crepes:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-ingredients\">\r\n<li>4 eggs<\/li>\r\n<li>3\/4 cup (180 ml) Florida orange juice<\/li>\r\n<li>1 tablespoon sugar<\/li>\r\n<li>1\/8 teaspoon salt<\/li>\r\n<li>7 generous tablespoons flour<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>For Fruit Filling:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>1 cup fresh Florida oranges<\/li>\r\n<li>1 cup fresh blueberries<\/li>\r\n<li>1 cup fresh raspberries<\/li>\r\n<li>1 cup fresh quartered strawberries<\/li>\r\n<li>1 cup fresh blackberries<\/li>\r\n<li>Powdered sugar, optional<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preparation<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step__text\">\r\n<div>\r\n<p>1. In a blender container, place eggs, orange juice, sugar and salt. Cover and pulse 15 seconds until combined.<\/p>\r\n<p>2. While blender is on, add flour one tablespoon at a time until blended well. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.<\/p>\r\n<p>3. Melt 1\/2 tablespoon butter in a 10-inch nonstick saut\u00e9 pan.<\/p>\r\n<p>4. Pour 3 tablespoons of batter into the pan and swirl around to coat the bottom of the pan evenly. <\/p>\r\n<p>5. Cook until edges are nice and brown and middle is firm to the touch. Loosen edges and flip crepe and cool for approximately 15 seconds.<\/p>\r\n<p>6. Slide out of pan onto plate, cover with foil while continuing to make crepes with remaining batter.<\/p>\r\n<p>7. In a medium bowl, combine fruit with 1 tablespoon of sugar. Using a fork, crush the berries slightly to allow the juices to come out.<\/p>\r\n<p>8. Place 2 crepes on a plate. Ladle 1\/4 cup of the fruit mixture on one side of each crepe and roll crepe over the fruit. <\/p>\r\n<p>9. Garnish with powdered sugar, if desired.
