{"id":249,"date":"2018-06-05T16:01:37","date_gmt":"2018-06-05T20:01:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/oj\/?post_type=fdoc-recipe&#038;p=249"},"modified":"2024-06-04T15:29:12","modified_gmt":"2024-06-04T19:29:12","slug":"citrus-shrimp-salsa-recipes","status":"publish","type":"fdoc-recipe","link":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/oj\/recipes\/citrus-shrimp-salsa-recipes\/","title":{"rendered":"Citrus Shrimp Salsa Recipes"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-ingredients\">\r\n<li>1\/2 cup (120 ml) Florida orange juice<\/li>\r\n<li>2 tablespoons lemon juice<\/li>\r\n<li>2 tablespoons lime juice<\/li>\r\n<li>1\/2 cup red onion, small dice<\/li>\r\n<li>1 tablespoon jalape\u00f1o pepper, minced<\/li>\r\n<li>4 tablespoons cilantro, chopped, divided<\/li>\r\n<li>1 tablespoon minced ginger<\/li>\r\n<li>1 teaspoon green jalape\u00f1o sauce<\/li>\r\n<li>2 pounds Florida rock shrimp<\/li>\r\n<li>1 avocado, cut into \u00bd-inch dice<\/li>\r\n<li>1\/2 cup Florida grapefruit segments<\/li>\r\n<li>1\/2 cup cucumber, cut into \u00bd-inch dice<\/li>\r\n<li>1\/4 cup celery, cut into \u00bc-inch dice<\/li>\r\n<li>2 tablespoons olive oil<\/li>\r\n<li>Salt to taste<\/li>\r\n<li>Pepper to taste<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preparation<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step__text\">\r\n<div>\r\n<p>To prepare marinade, combine orange juice, lemon juice, lime juice, red onion, jalape\u00f1o pepper, 2 tablespoons cilantro, ginger and jalape\u00f1o sauce in mixing bowl; remove and reserve 1\/4 cup marinade.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step__text\">\r\n<div>\r\n<p>Add rock shrimp; cover and refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours, until shrimp is firm and no longer transparent. Remove shrimp from marinade; discard marinade. Place shrimp in clean mixing bowl; add 1\/4 cup reserved marinade, avocado, grapefruit segments, cucumber, celery, 2 tablespoons cilantro and olive oil; toss gently to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
