{"id":135,"date":"2018-06-04T12:27:11","date_gmt":"2018-06-04T16:27:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/oj\/?post_type=fdoc-recipe&#038;p=135"},"modified":"2024-06-05T06:13:55","modified_gmt":"2024-06-05T10:13:55","slug":"carved-turkey-sandwiches-with-orange-olive-oil-mayo","status":"publish","type":"fdoc-recipe","link":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/oj\/recipes\/carved-turkey-sandwiches-with-orange-olive-oil-mayo\/","title":{"rendered":"Carved Turkey Sandwiches With Orange Olive Oil Mayo"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-ingredients\">\r\n<li>2 slices whole grain bread<\/li>\r\n<li>2 tablespoons prepared Orange Olive Oil Mayo (see below)<\/li>\r\n<li>1 lettuce leaf<\/li>\r\n<li>3 thin tomato slices<\/li>\r\n<li>Salt and pepper to taste<\/li>\r\n<li>3 thin Florida orange slices with the rind removed<\/li>\r\n<li>4 slices (approximately 4 ounces) skinless, roasted turkey (see below)<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Orange Olive Oil Mayo<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-ingredients\">\r\n<li>\u00bc cup pasteurized egg substitute<\/li>\r\n<li>\u00bc cup (60 ml) 100% Florida orange juice<\/li>\r\n<li>1 tablespoon Dijon mustard<\/li>\r\n<li>Salt to taste<\/li>\r\n<li>\u00be cup canola oil<\/li>\r\n<li>\u00be cup good quality extra virgin olive oil<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Roast Turkey Breast<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-ingredients\">\r\n<li>\u00bc cup pasteurized egg substitute<\/li>\r\n<li>\u00bc cup (60 ml) 100% Florida orange juice<\/li>\r\n<li>1 tablespoon Dijon mustard<\/li>\r\n<li>Salt to taste<\/li>\r\n<li>\u00be cup canola oil<\/li>\r\n<li>\u00be cup good quality extra virgin olive oil<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preparation<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step__text\">\r\n<div>\r\n<p>Preheat oven to 350\u00b0 F.\u00a0 Combine poultry seasoning, salt, paprika and pepper in a small bowl.\u00a0 Rub turkey breast with 1 tablespoon olive oil; coat with seasoning mixture.\u00a0 Combine remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil and orange juice in a small bowl; set aside.\u00a0 Place turkey breast on rack in roasting pan and roast until internal temperature reaches 165\u00b0 F, about 60 to 75 minutes. Baste turkey with orange juice mixture 2 to 3 times during roasting.\u00a0 Remove turkey breast from oven; let rest. Remove bone, skin, and any visible fat before carving turkey breast into slices.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step__text\">\r\n<div>\r\n<p>Spread both slices of bread with Orange Olive Oil Mayo. Top one slice of bread with lettuce and tomato; sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Place orange slices on top of tomato slices. Place turkey on top orange slices and top with the second slice of bread.
