{"id":132,"date":"2018-06-04T11:39:16","date_gmt":"2018-06-04T15:39:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/oj\/?post_type=fdoc-recipe&#038;p=132"},"modified":"2024-06-05T06:17:39","modified_gmt":"2024-06-05T10:17:39","slug":"citrus-tossed-salad","status":"publish","type":"fdoc-recipe","link":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/oj\/recipes\/citrus-tossed-salad\/","title":{"rendered":"Citrus Tossed Salad"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-ingredients\">\r\n<li>3\/4 cup (180 ml) frozen Florida orange juice concentrate, thawed<\/li>\r\n<li>1\/4 cup vinegar<\/li>\r\n<li>1\/4 cup olive oil<\/li>\r\n<li>1\/4 cup water<\/li>\r\n<li>1\/4 teaspoon pepper<\/li>\r\n<li>6 cups mixed salad greens, torn into bite-sized pieces<\/li>\r\n<li>3 Florida oranges or 2 Florida grapefruit, peeled, sectioned and seeded<\/li>\r\n<li>1-\u00bd cups peeled jicama, cut into thin strips<\/li>\r\n<li>1 medium red onion, sliced and separated into rings<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preparation<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step__text\">\r\n<div>\r\n<p>Prepare the Citrus Vinaigrette;\u00a0 In a screw-top jar, combine orange juice concentrate, vinegar, olive oil, water and pepper. Cover tightly and shake well; reserve.<\/p>\r\n<p>In large salad bowl, combine mixed salad greens, orange or grapefruit sections, jicama and onion. Drizzle salad with desired amount of Citrus Vinaigrette; toss gently to coat salad. Serve immediately.
