{"id":346,"date":"2018-05-29T11:22:08","date_gmt":"2018-05-29T15:22:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/grapefruit\/?post_type=fdoc-recipe&#038;p=346"},"modified":"2024-06-15T06:44:25","modified_gmt":"2024-06-15T10:44:25","slug":"florida-citrus-cuban-tacos","status":"publish","type":"fdoc-recipe","link":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/grapefruit\/recipes\/florida-citrus-cuban-tacos\/","title":{"rendered":"Florida Citrus Cuban Tacos"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>For Pork:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-ingredients\">\r\n<li>500 ml Florida Orange Juice<\/li>\r\n<li>250 ml Florida Grapefruit Juice<\/li>\r\n<li>2 tbsp.\u00a0Florida Orange Zest<\/li>\r\n<li>250 ml soy sauce<\/li>\r\n<li>125 ml triple sec<\/li>\r\n<li>50 g brown sugar<\/li>\r\n<li>6 garlic cloves, coarsely chopped<\/li>\r\n<li>4 stalks fresh oregano, coarsely chopped<\/li>\r\n<li>2 kg boneless pork shoulder<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>For Sour Orange Sauce:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-ingredients\">\r\n<li>185 ml Florida Orange Juice<\/li>\r\n<li>60 ml lime juice<\/li>\r\n<li>20 g fresh coriander, minced<\/li>\r\n<li>1 tsp. sugar<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>For Coleslaw:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-ingredients\">\r\n<li>225 g Florida Orange Segments, finely chopped<\/li>\r\n<li>250 g shredded coleslaw mix<\/li>\r\n<li>10 g coriander, finely chopped<\/li>\r\n<li>Salt, to taste<\/li>\r\n<li>Pepper, to taste<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>For Tacos:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-ingredients\">\r\n<li>Florida Orange Peel Strips, if desired<\/li>\r\n<li>18 (10-cm) flour tortillas<\/li>\r\n<li>Coriander sprigs, if desired<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preparation<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step__title\">Prepare Pork:<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-instructions-step__text\">\r\n<div>\r\n<p>Combine all ingredients except pork shoulder in large mixing bowl.Remove 85 ml Florida Orange Juice mixture for sauce; refrigerate in covered container and reserve.Place pork shoulder in mixing bowl with Florida Orange Juice mixture, pushing down into liquid so it is submerged.Cover tightly with cling film; refrigerate for 2 days.Preheat oven to 200\u00b0 C. Remove pork shoulder from marinade; discard marinade.Place pork in roasting pan.Cover with aluminium foil.Cook in oven for 45 minutes, uncover and cook for 10 more minutes until internal temperature reaches 63\u00b0 C.
