{"id":1893,"date":"2024-03-19T13:51:41","date_gmt":"2024-03-19T17:51:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/grapefruit\/?post_type=fdoc-recipe&#038;p=1893"},"modified":"2026-02-03T17:04:18","modified_gmt":"2026-02-03T22:04:18","slug":"halloumi-cheese-with-florida-grapefruit-red-onion-and","status":"publish","type":"fdoc-recipe","link":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/grapefruit\/recipes\/halloumi-cheese-with-florida-grapefruit-red-onion-and\/","title":{"rendered":"Halloumi Cheese with Florida Grapefruit, Red Onion, and Mint"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\">Fran\u00e7ais<\/a><\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-ingredients\">\r\n<li>2 Florida Grapefruit, cut into wedges\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>4 sweet potatoes, peeled\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>2 tbsp olive oil\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>Salt and pepper\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>Cumin seeds\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>Red onion, peeled and chopped\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>1 tbsp harissa paste\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>1 handful parsley, chopped\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>200g halloumi cheese\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>400g tinned chickpeas\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preparation<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\">\r\n<li>Chop the sweet potatoes into small cubes and place into a large frying pan with a splash of olive oil.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Season with salt, pepper, and the cumin seeds.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Cook the sweet potatoes for 5-10 minutes, then add the chopped red onion and harissa\u00a0 paste.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Stir the ingredients together, then push to the edge to show the base of the frying pan.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Cut the halloumi cheese into the same size cubes as the sweet potatoes and place into the pan.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Cook for 3-4 minutes without stirring the pan, then add the chickpeas and parsley.
