{"id":1890,"date":"2024-03-19T13:48:14","date_gmt":"2024-03-19T17:48:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/grapefruit\/?post_type=fdoc-recipe&#038;p=1890"},"modified":"2024-06-14T17:33:21","modified_gmt":"2024-06-14T21:33:21","slug":"halibut-with-florida-grapefruit-and-california-walnuts","status":"publish","type":"fdoc-recipe","link":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.ca\/grapefruit\/recipes\/halibut-with-florida-grapefruit-and-california-walnuts\/","title":{"rendered":"Halibut with Florida Grapefruit and California Walnuts"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\">Fran\u00e7ais<\/a><\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-ingredients\">\r\n<li>4 fillets of halibut<\/li>\r\n<li>1 tbsp\u00a0olive oil\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>Salt and pepper\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>70g California\u00a0Walnuts\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>30g\u00a0panko breadcrumbs\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>Parsley\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>3 tbsp olive oil\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Salsa Ingredients<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>2 Florida Grapefruit\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>1\/2\u00a0red onion\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>1\/2\u00a0fresh red chilli\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>1\u00a0fennel bulb, finely chopped\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>1\u00a0handful flat leaf parsley\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>3 tbsp\u00a0extra virgin olive oil\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preparation<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\">\r\n<li>Pat the fish fillets dry with a kitchen bowl, then drizzle with olive oil and season with sea salt and pepper.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Pre heat a non stick frying pan on medium heat.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Place the fish into the pan and cook each one until golden.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Meanwhile to make the topping, chop the California\u00a0Walnuts and place in a shallow bowl with the chopped parsley, breadcrumbs, and olive oil.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Turn the fish over and top with the walnut crumb.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Place the fish still in the frying pan into the oven at 160c and cook for 12 minutes or until the fish is cooked.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>To make the salsa, chop the red onion as finely as you can and place in a bowl with the juice of the Florida Grapefruit and the chopped red chilli.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Stir together to help the acidity of the grapefruit; pickle the onion and chilli\u00a0for a nice tangy flavour.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Add the chopped fennel and stir together once again.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Finally, add the olive oil and chopped parsley to create a delicious salsa.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>When the fish is cooked, remove from the oven and serve with the salsa.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;
