It may be enjoyed as a side or main dish and is an easy way to get vitamin C and a serving of fruit. Not to mention the creamy dressing which is even tastier thanks to the naturally sweet taste of the Florida Grapefruit Juice.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>This recipe was developed and photographed by \u00c9milie Gaillet. <br \/>You can follow her at:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/emilie_murmure\/\">@emilie_murmure<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-fdoc-recipe-ingredients\">\r\n<li>For the salad:<\/li>\r\n<li>2 Florida Grapefruit<\/li>\r\n<li>1 can of chickpeas<\/li>\r\n<li>1 tablespoon olive oil<\/li>\r\n<li>salt and pepper<\/li>\r\n<li>1 bunch of kale<\/li>\r\n<li>1 avocado, ripe, diced<\/li>\r\n<li>\u00bc cup pumpkin seeds, roasted<\/li>\r\n<li>\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>For the creamy Florida Grapefruit sauce:<\/li>\r\n<li>125\u00a0ml Florida Grapefruit juice<\/li>\r\n<li>\u00be\u00a0cup mayonnaise or tahini<\/li>\r\n<li>1\u00a0tablespoon maple syrup<\/li>\r\n<li>1\u00a0tablespoon cider vinegar<\/li>\r\n<li>1\u00a0tablespoon sesame oil<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preparation<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\">\r\n<table>\r\n<tbody>\r\n<tr>\r\n<td>1. Preheat the oven at 400\u00b0F (200\u00b0C).<br \/><br \/>2. Rinse and drain the chickpeas. On a baking sheet covered with parchment paper, place the chickpeas and drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper and bake for 25 minutes.<br \/><br \/>3. Cut the grapefruit into supremes. To begin, on your cutting board, cut off both ends of the grapefruit then peel them off with a sharp knife. Slide the blade along the membranes to remove the supremes. Set aside.<br \/><br \/>4. Squeeze the membranes to collect the juice in a separate container for the citrus sauce, or use store-bought 100% grapefruit juice.<br \/><br \/>5. Prepare the creamy Florida Grapefruit sauce by mixing all the ingredients together in a small bowl until the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.<br \/><br \/>6. In the meantime, thinly slice the kale, taking care to remove the stem, and place it in a large salad bowl. Mix the kale with the sauce, massaging the cabbage to soften it.<br \/><br \/>7. Combine kale, roasted chickpeas, Florida Grapefruit supremes, avocado cubes and roasted pumpkin seeds.
