These types of diets are not recommended as they fall short in providing needed nutrients and\/or are too low in calories for most people.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The good news is that observational<sup>2<\/sup>\u00a0and clinical<sup>3-5\u00a0<\/sup>research studies, published in peer-reviewed scientific journals, do provide evidence for a positive role for grapefruit or grapefruit juice in weight loss or body composition measures such as waist circumference when included as part of the usual or a calorie-reduced diet.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Fresh grapefruit and grapefruit juice can be key parts of a weight loss plan because:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>They are nutrient-dense, providing a high number of nutrients per calorie.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Fresh grapefruit provides dietary\u00a0fibre\u00a0and \u00bd medium fresh grapefruit can contribute to daily fiber intake to help you feel full for longer and help promote weight loss by reducing calorie intake.<sup>6<\/sup><\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>100% grapefruit juice and fresh grapefruit have high water content which may help promote satiety (fullness).<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Living a healthy lifestyle isn\u2019t always easy but drinking Florida Grapefruit Juice or eating fresh grapefruit and doing a few simple things daily can help.
